Bringing Products to Paradise

Packing for a trip kick starts the excitement before a great adventure. Planning outfits, hairstyles and picking the perfect pair of shoes for your vacation’s agenda puts you in the right mindset to head out of town. However, not all parts of packing are as breezy as a balmy summer wind.

Picture your client pushing and squeezing a large bottle of shampoo into a teeny tiny bottle. With one wrong move product gushes down the side of the bottle spreading across the counter top like lava flowing out of Mount Vesuvius. Talk about a waste of money and product.

Clients want to rest and relax on vacation that starts with the packing process. The solution: travel size!

In addition to giving extra space in your suitcase, travel sizes are the only size of product allowed to board in a carry-on bag at the airport. The TSA explains that travel size bottles of liquids, gels, aerosols, creams and pastes must be 3.4 ounces (100 ml) or less per container. Check the TSA website for other rules and restrictions before traveling.

Consider the climate where your client will be traveling. Spend a few minutes discussing your client’s destination and vacation activities. How will the climate affect the texture, porosity and volume of your client’s hair?

If the climate will be more humid than the client’s home environment, recommend Crack Leave-In Treatment to reduce and control frizz. If a client will be spending more time in the sun, recommend a hairspray with UV shield protectant color, such as Kevin.Murphy Session.Spray.

With a few easy recommendations, have your client saying aloha to looking good in vacation photos.
